The Montana Tech Orediggers faced a challenging game against the Weber State University Wildcats at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex. The final score was a disappointing 0-14 in favor of the Wildcats, a tough pill to swallow for the Orediggers.
The Wildcats dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting the Orediggers 78-13. Montana Tech’s power play was ineffective, failing to convert on their only opportunity, while the Wildcats capitalized on half of their six power play chances.
Orediggers goalie, Charlie Lang, faced a barrage of shots, making 50 saves on 78 attempts. On the other end of the ice, Wildcats goalie Owen Yancey had a quieter night, saving all 13 shots he faced.
Oredigger’s #3 Luke Benoit spent the most time in the penalty box with 6 minutes, while Wildcats’ #66 Caden Hunter stood out with 4 assists.
